A sweet treat to help you sleep better at night, Moon milk is an ancient Ayurvedic tradition of drinking warm milk with healing herbs and spices before going to bed.

Adding adaptogens and superfoods are what give your drink its therapeutic benefits.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk of choice (Non-dairy, plant based milk, such as almond, oat or coconut milk or organic grass-fed dairy milk.)

  • 1/2 tsp ground ashwagandha powder

  • 1 Tbsp cacao powder or cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp maple syrup or raw honey (optional)

  • 1 tsp of dried rose petals and buds

Instructions:

  • Bring the milk to a low simmer in a small pot, don’t let it boil.

  • Once the milk is hot, remove from heat and whisk in the cacao powder and ashwagandha. We used La Sérénité from the brand Hygée, which also has Holy Basil. Add all the other ingredients and whisk well. Gently simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Pour the moon milk into a cup. Sweeten with raw honey or maple syrup, if desired.

  • Garnish your moon milk with dried culinary rose petals (optional).

Drink your moon milk while it is warm and before bed.
